1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in ALL circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ for you.
It’s easy to play the “wishing game”. For instance, many times I have wished that family lived closer to us or that we lived in a house instead of an apartment (that thought comes the most when our neighbors are extremely loud). But when I stop and count my blessings I am thankful to live in a nice apartment and have food on our table and have the best family in the world! Sometimes all it takes is seeing my E’s sweet face and know I have a lot to be thankful for.
Yesterday, I read this quote:
“Love grows best in little houses, with fewer walls to separate. Where you eat and sleep so close together, you can’t help but communicate. If we had more room between us, think of all we’d miss. Love grows best in houses just like this.” Author unknown
So, today I choose to be thankful. Life is too short for grumbling and complaining. What are you thankful for?
